Adi Kailash, also called Chhota Kailash, is one of the most divine pilgrimages in the Himalayas. The journey also includes the mystical Om Parvat, where the natural ॐ symbol appears on the snowy mountain. The Adi Kailash Yatra 2025-26 is full of devotion, scenic beauty, and spiritual energy.
Every year, thousands of devotees and travellers join the Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 for darshan of Lord Shiva’s Himalayan abode. This yatra goes through tough but beautiful terrain near the Indo-China-Nepal border in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.

Complete Day-wise Itinerary (Delhi to Delhi)
Day 1: Delhi – Haldwani – Pithoragarh (Travel: 500+ km)
Begin your Adi Kailash Yatra 2025-26 journey from Delhi.
Reach Haldwani (280 km) or Kathgodam, then continue to Pithoragarh.
Total drive is tiring but scenic.
Night halt at Pithoragarh.
Altitude: ~1,500 m
Day 2: Pithoragarh – Dharchula (Travel: 100 km)
Leave early for Dharchula.
At Dharchula, get your Inner Line Permit & medical check-up done.
Walk to the Nepal side via suspension bridge if you want to explore.
This day is important in both Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 and 2025-26 yatra schedules.
Altitude: ~940 m
Day 3: Dharchula – Gunji (Travel: 75 km via rough Himalayan roads)
Drive through Mangti, Gala, Budhi, and Chialekh.
This is part of the new Adi Kailash road via ITBP route.
Road is rough. Only local vehicles like Bolero used.
Night stay at Gunji.
Altitude: ~3,200 m
Day 4: Gunji – Jolingkong (Adi Kailash Base) – Gunji (100 km round trip)
This is the most awaited day of Adi Kailash Yatra 2025-26.
Visit Adi Kailash Temple and Parvati Sarovar at Jolingkong.
Do darshan and puja of Lord Shiva at this peaceful spot.
Return to Gunji for overnight stay.
Altitude: ~4,900 m
Day 5: Gunji – Om Parvat – Nabi/Gunji (60 km round trip)
Visit Om Parvat View Point at Nabhidhang.
This is a key attraction of Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 as well.
See the snow-formed ‘ॐ’ on the mountain – a divine sight.
Return to Nabi or Gunji for night halt.
Day 6: Gunji – Dharchula
Begin return journey via the same scenic route.
Road journey is long but easier while descending.
Day 7: Dharchula – Haldwani
Drive down to Haldwani or Kathgodam via Pithoragarh.
Relax and rest well after the challenging Adi Kailash Yatra 2025-26.
Day 8: Haldwani – Delhi
Travel back to Delhi by road or train.
