🕉️ Mythological History of Triyuginarayan Temple

The name Triyuginarayan is made up of:

  • Tri – Three

  • Yugi – Yugas (Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga)

  • Narayan – Lord Vishnu

It is believed that Lord Shiva and Parvati got married here, in presence of Lord Vishnu, who performed the role of Parvati’s brother (Kanyadaan). Brahma Ji did the havan rituals, and other gods attended the wedding.

In the temple courtyard, there’s an eternal flame (Akhand Dhuni) which is said to be burning since that time. That’s why many couples now come here to get married with divine blessings.
