Accessibility – Which is Easier to Reach?

Kinnaur is easier to access for first-time travellers. It lies on the Hindustan–Tibet road, and you can reach it through Shimla – Narkanda – Rampur – Kalpa route. Roads are narrow but manageable.

Spiti Valley, especially the route from Manali via Kunzum Pass, is tougher. It opens only in summer. You also need to cross rough patches and high-altitude zones. The Shimla to Spiti route is longer but more stable throughout the year.
